Protection and Colour, One Film

Most owners face a choice: respray for a new colour, or fit clear film to protect the paint. German PPF removes the choice. It is a full-thickness paint protection film that happens to be pigmented, so a colour change and a protective layer arrive in the same installation.

The film is built on aliphatic TPU sourced from BASF and measures 7.5 mil — roughly twice the thickness of your clear coat. That is what separates it from a vinyl wrap: vinyl decorates, this absorbs stone chips and road debris while it does so.

Because the factory paint is never touched, the decision stays reversible. Remove the film and the original finish is underneath, protected from everything the film took on its behalf.

Why German PPF?

A New Colour, Reversibly

Take your car anywhere across our range without touching the factory paint. When you want the original colour back, the film comes off cleanly.

Genuine Protection

At 7.5 mil this is a full-thickness protection film, not a decorative wrap. It absorbs stone chips, road debris and minor impacts that would otherwise reach your paint.

Self-Healing Top Coat

Swirl marks and light scratches close up with heat from the sun or warm water, so the finish stays sharp without constant correction.

BASF Material

The aliphatic TPU is sourced from BASF — the same chemistry behind the industry's most stable films, chosen for clarity that holds and edges that resist lifting.

Built for Malaysian Sun

UV-stabilised against the yellowing and fade that punish lesser films in our climate, with a hydrophobic surface that sheds rain and road grime.

5-Year Warranty

Covered for five years against yellowing, cracking, bubbling and delamination, installed by our own team at AX Autohaus.

Choose Your Colour

48 finishes across gloss, metallic, pearl, satin and colour-shift. Filter by finish, then tap any colour to see it on a car — every one is available in the same 7.5 mil film.

The cars shown are digital visualisations on a single studio model, produced so each colour can be compared like for like; the close-up in each preview is the actual film. Screens vary, and metallic, pearl and colour-shift finishes change character with the light and the angle — visit us in Danga Bay to see the physical samples against your own car before deciding.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on coloured PPF

What is coloured PPF and how is it different from a vinyl wrap?

Coloured PPF changes your car’s colour AND protects the paint underneath. Unlike vinyl wrap, our BASF-sourced 7.5 mil film is self-healing, more durable against stone chips, and backed by a 5-year warranty. It combines a colour change with genuine paint protection.

How many colours are available for German PPF?

We offer 48 colours across gloss, metallic, pearl, satin and colour-shift finishes — from classic solids to unique iridescent effects.

Will coloured PPF damage my original paint when removed?

No. Quality PPF is designed for safe removal without damaging factory paint — the original finish stays preserved underneath, which helps protect your car’s resale value.

Is colour-change PPF legal in Malaysia?

Yes, but you must update your vehicle’s registered colour with JPJ (Road Transport Department) after a colour change. We can advise you on the process when you visit.
